Description
The STIHL HTA 160 cordless pole pruner efficiently supports professionals in tree care, fruit growing, municipalities, agriculture and forestry when it comes to limbing trees, removing dead wood and storm damage, and pruning fruit trees .
The powerful EC motor of the STIHL HTA 160 is powered by lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AP system . The lightweight, robust magnesium gearbox supports easy maneuvering . You can use the pole pruner to make cuts on branches and trees up to 20 cm in diameter . The professional telescopic shaft with a particularly rigid square profile allows for quick adjustment and easy setting of the desired overall length of the HTA 160 to 405 cm . This allows for precise positioning and precise cuts, even in higher parts of trees . When thinning treetops, you can even work at a height of up to around 5 m . The HTA 160 can be used with STIHL 3/8" P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain , or with 1/4" P STIHL saw chains such as the 1/4" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) . With 1/4" STIHL saw chains, no hearing protection is required, so work in noise-sensitive areas is also possible.
A robust branch hook cast onto the compact cutting head makes it easier to grab and remove loose cuttings. The chain sprocket cover is equipped with a guide bar for precise positioning and side chip ejection . All controls on the STIHL HTA 160 are conveniently located in your hand on the ergonomically optimized control handle with LED display. The standard STIHL stand protects the pole pruner's engine housing from contact with the ground . An easy-to-clean air filter with metal mesh supports optimal engine cooling and thus a long service life for your STIHL HTA 160. The optionally available STIHL RTS backpack system provides optimal relief during longer work periods while maintaining a high level of freedom of movement.
The STIHL HTA 160 has a total length of 285 cm to 405 cm .

All cordless tools within the STIHL AP system are designed for professional users and for daily use, even in adverse weather conditions. Therefore, they feature tested splash protection . Their effectiveness is proven through rigorous internal testing. The splash test is based, among other things, on the IPX4 standard.
SPROCKET COVER WITH SIGHT BAR
FOR MORE CONTROL AT WORK. For better directional control when positioning and sawing with your pole pruner, the sight bar has been integrated as a raised line into the sprocket cover.
BRANCH HOOK
REMOVING LOOSE CLIPPINGS. Thanks to the sturdy branch hook, you can remove loose and cut branches from great heights.
PROFESSIONAL TELESCOPIC SHAFT
PRECISE WORK AT LONG REACH. For particularly precise cuts, this telescopic shaft features a square tube. This provides particularly high rigidity of the shaft when extended, thus supporting precise positioning and execution when sawing branches at greater distances.
LIGHTWEIGHT, ROBUST MAGNESIUM GEARBOX
LOW WEIGHT WITH HIGH ROBUSTNESS. Especially in the professional sector, low weight is of paramount importance. The lightweight material magnesium reduces weight while maintaining the robustness of the gears. This reduces strain on you while working and ensures a long service life for the tool.
BATTERY STORAGE IN THE MOTOR HOUSING
DIRECT POWER SUPPLY ON THE DEVICE. This tool allows you to install the required battery from the STIHL AP system directly in the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility while working.
STAND
PREVENTS DIRECT FLOOR CONTACT. The included stand prevents the enclosure from resting directly on the floor. This protects the enclosure from dirt and moisture.
AIR FILTER WITH METAL MESH
OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with its fine metal mesh cleans the air and ensures optimal engine cooling. Since it's also easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.
