STIGA COMBI 372H Ride on mower

The Stiga Garden Combi 372 and  previous versions of the same mower have been our best selling rear engine rider for the best part of 20 years and many are still going strong today. With an overall width of just 76cm/30.5" the  Combi 372 ride on mower  is perfect for small small gardens but is equally at home in larger areas of up to 1.5 acres.

The time proven and reliable 6.3kw  Stiga ST400  engine is coupled to a hand controlled hydrostatic transmission giving infinitely variable forward and reverse speeds via a single hand operated lever on the right of the driver seat. A single bladed 72cm/28" working width cutter deck ensures perfect grass cutting and collection whatever the conditions, and really does work well, with minimum chance of blocking if well driven.. The large 170 litre grass collector can be emptied from the driving seat or removed to tip on top of a compost heap. Stiga lawn tractors are extremely versatile machines, they can collect the grass clippings or rear discharge them, and can also mulch and recycle your grass with the mulching plug which is supplied as standard.

The 'step through' design, with a clear platform over the relatively narrow deck makes entry and exit from the seat easy even for those operators with impaired leg mobility. The hand operated forward and reverse control also helps such operators and is intuitive and light to use, but is foolproof in that depressing the brake pedal will instantly return the lever to neutral and stop the machine.

Mulching grass is a great feature of this compact lawn tractor. It saves so much time and cutting the lawn can be more than 30% quicker as there is no need to stop to empty clippings which results in a significant fuel saving. Some will ask, “Will I see the mulched grass?” and the answer is “No!” Mulched clippings are blown down into the growing grass and are not noticeable provided the grass is cut regularly and not on the lowest setting. Some owners prefer to collect grass cuttings on areas close to the house to be certain that children or pets don’t carry them inside, then they use the mulching facility on all the other areas.

Switching between multiclip (mulch) or collecting modes is extremely simple and takes less than a minute. To mulch just remove the grassbox, insert the mulching plug into the discharge chute and replace the box. To return to collection simply reverse the procedure. Mulching the grass allows the clippings to be recycled, improving the soil as they decompose by forming a natural fertiliser. You will notice a marked improvement in your grass as this natural fertiliser takes effect over the course of the cutting season.
